Five missing in Mt Annapurna South landslide come in contact


Five locals who had gone to collect bamboos in the forest were rescued from the cave Tuesday evening when the hilltop situated in between two mountains—Annapurna South and Nilgiri—along the Annapurna mountain range in Myagdi district was hit by dry landslide.

They have been identified as Tak Bahadur Thajali, Sher Bahadur Thajali, Dil Bahadur Thajali, of Lek Gaun in Narchyang – 5 and Hukum Pun of ward no 6 of the same locality and Tar Bahadur Phagami of ward no 4.


A massive dry landslide of continuous mud and boulders triggered by the Gorkha earthquake, struck the famous trekking route in the Annapurna region since Monday.
