One black marketeer held with 283 cylinders of cooking gas

Police arrested a cooking gas trader involved in black marketeering with 25 cylinders of ATC Company and 258 cylinders of Gita Company.

Rajesh Bharati of Akashe Dhara, Kapan, have been arrested from his Rara ADS Enterprises.

Likewise, one Yesodha Bajgain was arrested from her Ugrachandi store at Gorkha Manakamana vegetable and agriculture market with 320 liters of petrol and 50 liters of diesel and 125 liters of kerosene.

In recent days, Metropolitan Police Office, Crime Division Hanuman Dhoka, have been cracking down on the traders involved in black marketeering of petroleum products. 

“We have arrested many black marketeers of petroleum products following the border blockade and initiated action against them,” said SSP Sarbendra Khanal. “We have initiated the operation for the past few days and have been able to confiscate a huge amount of petrol, diesel and gas being sold illegally.” He said this was the biggest haul of gas cylinders held so far.
